Your books stay in QuickBooks Desktop. DYKOS connects them to the rest of your business, so the customers, items and invoices in QuickBooks reach your web apps, and the orders, invoices and payments made online go back into QuickBooks without anyone typing them twice.
A small program we install next to QuickBooks on your own computer or server does the work, every few minutes, and it is careful: it never deletes or voids anything, and it never overwrites a change someone made in QuickBooks.
What we do
- Export out of QuickBooks: customers, items with prices and costs, invoices and estimates
- Import into QuickBooks: invoices, estimates, sales orders, received payments and expenses
- Changes go back too: edited invoices, estimates and sales orders, and item descriptions and prices
- Works with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise and Premier, on the PC or server where your company file lives
- Syncs every few minutes, and nothing is written to your books unless your team sent it from the app
- Never deletes or voids, and never overwrites a record someone has changed in QuickBooks since
Case study: online ordering for a food wholesaler
A wholesale food distributor runs its books in QuickBooks Desktop. We built it a web ordering hub for its customers and sales reps, connected to QuickBooks:
- The product catalogue, prices and customer list come straight from QuickBooks
- Customers order online and sales reps take orders on an iPad; accepted orders are passed on to QuickBooks
- Item descriptions, prices and product details edited on the web go back into QuickBooks
- Pricing rules are checked against QuickBooks' own average cost before an order goes through
Case study: bank statements into QuickBooks for an accounting firm
For an accounting firm we built a statement reader that works with the firm's QuickBooks Desktop:
- Clients' bank and credit-card statements are read into transactions, with no retyping
- The AI that reads them runs on a computer the firm owns, so statements stay in the office
- A QuickBooks bridge carries the transactions into QuickBooks Desktop
We run it ourselves
DYKOS's own billing works the same way: invoices, estimates and payments made in our customer portal are written into our QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise company file by the same kind of bridge.
